Our Story

Coffee was never the destination. It was the opportunity.

Joyhouse Coffee began in Haiti.

In 2016, what started as a mission trip became something much more. We met people filled with faith, pride, resilience, and a desire to work, provide for their families, and build a better future.

Each morning, sitting on the rooftop of a place called Joyhouse, drinking coffee and looking across Haiti, a simple idea began to take shape:

What if a cup of coffee could help change a life?

That idea became Joyhouse Coffee Company.

We discovered that coffee could be more than something we enjoyed. It could create sustainable jobs, strengthen communities, and help support schools, churches, medical clinics, and organizations doing life-changing work. From the beginning, coffee was simply the avenue to do something greater.

But Haiti taught us something else that would come to define Joyhouse:

Joy is a choice.

Joy is more than happiness. It transcends circumstance. We saw it in people who faced tremendous challenges yet lived with extraordinary faith, gratitude, hope, and joy. That experience changed us and shaped the heart of everything Joyhouse would become.

Today, we serve exceptional coffees from around the world, celebrating the people, places, and stories behind every bean. But Haiti will always be part of who we are. It is where Joyhouse was born, where our purpose took root, and where we learned that something as simple as a cup of coffee can become part of something much bigger.

Our hope is that Joyhouse does more than give you a remarkable cup of coffee.

We hope it inspires you to rise up, make a difference, and choose joy each day.

Rise up. Choose joy.
