About this roast
Unleaded is our rich, full-flavored decaf from the Copán region of Honduras. We roast it to the deeper side of medium, developing a smooth, coating body and plenty of natural sweetness without losing the character of the coffee.
Expect notes of dark chocolate, molasses, and roasted walnut, with hints of toffee and a subtle touch of orange peel. The result is a syrupy, satisfying cup with low acidity and a long, chocolatey finish—the kind of decaf that doesn’t feel like a compromise.
Unleaded works beautifully as a traditional brewed coffee and has enough body, sweetness, and chocolate character to make an excellent decaf espresso.
Origin & Sourcing
The green coffee for Unleaded is sourced through Bellwether Coffee from the Copán region of southwestern Honduras, where coffee is grown among mountainous terrain and diverse microclimates.
This washed coffee is grown at approximately 1,000–1,500 meters and includes Catuai, Pacas, Lempira, and IHCAFE 90 varieties.
Swiss Water® Decaf
Unleaded is decaffeinated using the Swiss Water Process, which uses water, temperature, and time to remove caffeine while preserving the coffee’s original character.
The result is a decaf that retains the sweetness, body, and complexity we look for in a great coffee—just without the caffeine.

We small-batch roast Unleaded at Joyhouse Coffee Company in Cave Springs, Arkansas, taking it toward the deeper side of medium to develop its dark chocolate, molasses, and roasted-walnut character while creating the rich, full body we want from this coffee.
